A serious charge of indecently assaulting an eight-year-old' girl in Taumata Park on November 29 was preferred against Stanley George Harwood, alias Buckland, in the Eltham Magistrate’s Court on Friday before Messrs J. W. Stubbs and T. Stanners, J’sP. Lengthy evidence was taken. A plea of not guilty was entered, and the accused' was committed for trial at the next' session of the Supreme'Court at Isew Plymouth. 'The; accused applied for bail. Bail was granted in two approved sureties of £IOO each or one of £2OO and self in £SO.
