VALUELESS CHEQUES.
YOUNG MAN SENTENCED. CBY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, Dec. 8. Charles William Bryharn, 27 years of a S e 3 pleaded guilty' to'issuing valueless cheques" at Napier and Wairoa, and was sentenced'to 'six months’ gaol at the Magistrate’s Court this morning. BIGAMY AND BAD CHEQUES. AUCKLAND, Dec. 8. At the Police Court, “Alexander Robertson admitted three charges of obtaining £2l 15s 9d by valueless cheques at Wanganui and Hamilton; also that he was married in Wellington on April 24, 1909, to Annie Pennell, there being two children, and went ' through a form of marriage on November 6 with a. nurse (whose name the court suppressed), thereby committing bigamy. He was committed and ordered to up for sentence on the bigamy charge, and remanded for sentence on the other charges.
