At the last meeting of the Hawera. County Council a, request from a ratepayer for the right to' cut cocksfoot on the road side, drew a remark from a Councillor, to the effect that last year a man might have made £3 per day cutting the seed. He said chat there was a great growth of the grass, and in one place on a Borough He serve there was a really lovely crop. The applicant was referred to the owner.
