WINTON MEETING CONCLUDES. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, Dec. 4. The Winton Jockey Club’s annual meeting concluded to-day in fine weather. The totalisator handled £12,812, as against £13,199 for the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £27,556 10s as against £30,107. Only the placed horses finished in the Steeplechase. Oruiekshanks, driver of First Glance, was fined £lO for crossing, and was disqualified for the race,, Bonny Boy being placed third. . -. Stewards’ Purse Handicap, 6 furlongs.—Listening Post (A. The Auckland District Racing Committee passed a resolution recording profound regret at the death of Jockey MoFlynn, and' placing on record bis clean and honourable life a.s a licensed jockey, which was an object lesson to the members of his profession.
