The murder of eight persons in a kmely villa near Siegen, in Westphalia, has furnished a sensational sequel. Angerstein, the manager of a large quarrying company and the owner of the villa, who was found wounded, has confessed to the eight murders. He fays the story of robbers was intended to explain the loss of money which he had embezzled. Prior to Angerstein’s confession the detectives suspected, as a result of finger print examinations, that he was thu perpetrator, and that he stabbed himself, m ordqr to cover up his fina"cial J difficulties. A search for the alleged bandits proved resultless, Aiwe stein’s version being that he returned unexpectedly, saw bandits at work aa d. was attacked and left helpless. Ihe detectives state that when the bodies were found rigor mortis had set that the victims had n f e ; n hided some time earlier. Ano-er-stein is expected to recover. ”
