Recently a messenger employed by one of tlie business firms in Napier left a new bicycle outside the Post Office while he went inside for a. few minutes (says the Hawke’s Bay Tribune). On coming out he saw a man making off with the bicycle, and he at once ran after, him, and pulled him off. when a policeman interfered and remonstrated with the young man. On being told that the bicycle belonged to his enioloyer the constable asked the man why he bad taken it and received the usual excuse, “Taken by mistake.”
