A forward agricultural policy is foreshadowed by an official announcement stating that the Government is convoking a conference between land owners, farmers and workers, with Govern-eo-operation, to recommend methods to maintain an increase in, arable land and to stimulate, the maximum production of food. . The announcement declares that the conference should,, aim at an addition of at least a million acres of arable land and not give undue attention to the production of wheat to the exclusion of live-stock, dairying and other agricultural activities.
