HAMILTON SITTINGS(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. HAMILTON, Nov. 28. At the Supreme Court, Thomas Luxton, a well-known farmer at Eureka, was charged with fraud and perjury. It was alleged that accused made a statement to ,an insurance company ( after a fire which destroyed his house that certain articles Were destroyed, wliereas they were saved. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and ac T cused was discharged without a stain on his character. AUCKLAND SESSIONS. AUCKLAND, Nov. 28. At the Auckland Supreme Court today Mr Justice Darling made an order f.or adjudication in bankruptcy of Dr. Henry Dundas Mackenzie, on the petition of Marjory Mary Anne Lawrence, the. successful plaintiff in a recent action in which she ( was awarded £2OOO damages in connection with the Abrams treatment.
