THE ZINOVIEFF LETTER.

IS IT AUTHENTIC? ; SOVIET DENIAL. . BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT, (Received Nov. 27, 1.55 p.m.) MOSCOW, Nov. 26. Commenting on the British Notes, the official 'Organ Izvesta says: ‘ ‘Chamberlain does not prove the authenticity of the Zinovieff letter. His assertion of a connection between the Communist Internationale and the Soviet Government is simply absurd. We must consider Chamberlain’s Note not only as attempts to exert pressure on the Soviet Government with a view, to compelling it to grant concessions, but as great provocation, which we regard unmoved. Our position is strong, and we won’t retreat.’’ The Pravda ' accuses Chamberlain of trying to shuffle the cards.
