BriinimeP’ stands among the highest of screen achievements. John Barrymore heads a worthy cast. John Barrymore j s Beau Brummel, the most vivid character that ever shot through the social ekv of England; the superbly insolent dandy whose wit attracted and incensed royalty; who was besieged by the fairest of the fair, and who hid his broken heart behind the fripperies of clothes. Mary Astor is Lady Margery AJvanley, the one real love of the Beau’s life. Willard Louis plays George, Prince of Wales, the fop who absolutely dominates the social life of his day. His affections, his coarse glances, his comic mannerisms are in diamatic contrast with the nomp and state of his surroundings. Irene Rich portrays Fredrica Charlotte, Duchess of York, a great and gracious Jadv, who sits in-state—and knits! She is'a housewife doomed to play the part of princess. Alec B. Francis is Mortimer, valet to Brummel, the absymal snob, with a very human quality of devotion winch manifests itself in' Brummel’s adversity Carmel Myers is Lady Hester Stanhope, the type of woman who lives for love. She loves intensely, but her love tarns to venomous hate when repulsed, as Brummel learns. The supporting programme includes another of the excellent “Dur Gang” comedies, entitled “Lodge Night ”
