DEATH BEFORE TRIAL.
CHARGE AGAINST PUBLICAN. : (BY TELEGRAPH —PREBS ASSOCIATION. NELSON, Nov. 22. Walter H. H. 'Crichton, licensee of the Turf Hotel, Stoke, on remand far assaulting John Rekerr by pointing a loaded gun at him. died in the public hosiptal last evening. At the inquest this morning a verdict was returned that death was due to exhaustion following acute delirium tremens. Appreciation was expressed by the relatives and the coroner of the treatment accorded accused by the police. '
