BOXING.
On the ground that it is brutal and savage, boxing lias been prohibited in France. Many people will be surprised. Is not this a where duelling is still practised? Duelling in France, however, is not dangerous. Didn’t Mark Twain say, after having been nearly killed by liis-principal falling on him in an unwounded ecstasy of patriotism, that he was the only person ever injured in a French duel?
