HOUSE DESTROYED.
FIRE NEAR CARTERTON. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. CARTERTON, Nov. 22. A fire at Waihakeke last night destroyed a nine-roomed house, owned by W. H. Booth, Middle Run, Carterton, and occupied by Con. Leach, a sharemilker. The inmates escaped, but practically the Whole of the contents were destroyed. The building was insured for £450; and the contents were also insured. The amount, however, is not available.
