The United Art'sts ’ Special “Richard the Lion-ITeartcd. ’ ’ showing to-morrow n'ght. is the completion of Douglas Fairbanks’ famous picture “Robin Hood.’’ It tells the story of Sir Walter Scott’s novel “The Talisman.” describes King Richard’s arrival in Palestine and his efforts to take Jerusalem, “the holy city,” relates the coming of the stranger. Sir Kenneth of the Leopard, whose great fight against overwhelming odds is the main theme of the picture. King Richard is wonderfully played by Wallace Beery; John Bowers as the noble stranger is excellent, while Tully Marshall as the eccentric Bishop of Tyre adds much to the lighter portions of the story.
