SURCHARGE REMOVED

INQUEST INTO TRAM FATALITY
SYDNEY, Nov. 21. At the inquest of Samuel Peter Wyehe, William Thompson, conductor, gaie evidence that jus*t before the accident the tram travelled doivn a steep hill betAveen 200 and 300 yards long at about 20 miles an hour. ” That Avas the usual speed on that decline. He noticed nothing unusual in the speed before the derailment. He had been on that line for 13 years. Expert evidence was given by members of the staff of the traimvay department, after which the coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
