LONDON, Nov. 20. < The wife of Darrell Figgis, a member of the Dail Eireann, engaged a taxi-cab in Dublin and told the driver to go to a distant part of the mountains. -The driver heard shots and found his fare unconscious, with a bullet wound, in the head, Sne was taken to hospital; where she died. , _ At the inquest the husband gave evidence that his -wife’s nerves had become. shattered by events during the past 10 yearn. . She suffered severe pain from an injury to the neck caused by raiders at their house in 1922, who, in her presence, cut off his heard. A verdict was returned of death from a wound /self-inflicted while temporarily insane.
