SUPREME COURT.
NEXT WEEK’S SESSIONS. A HEAVY CALENDAR. The Supreme Court sessions for the judicial district of Taranaki open at New Plymouth on Tuesday next, at 10.30 a.m., before his Honor Mr Justice MacGregor. The list of cases is longer than usual, and includes seven criminal cases for trial and one prisoner for sentence. There is one case of manslaughter arising out of a motor collision on the Tikorangi Road, and four crises relate to sexual offences. There is one civil action to be heard before the judge and a jury of four, and ten eases before the judge alone. Three divorce petitions have ;been filed for hearing before juries of twelve and six are defended petitions. f Two appeals are set dawn lor hearing, and there are several originating summonses under the Family Protection Act, and a number of bankruptcy motions.
