The death of an old Wellington colonist, Mi's. Amelia. Bender, took place at her late residence- yesterday. Mrs. Bender, who was the widow of the late Captain S. A. Bender, was born on the misson fields of Madras India. Subsequently she married her late husband in the Channel Islands, Jeiaey, and arrived in New Zealand with her husband in 1867. She had been resident in Wellington up to her death. “THE BIG THREE.” THE STOMACH.
