MR NICOLSON’S STOCK,
SALE AT SHOW GROUNDS.
Pedigree Jersey cattle from the welvjiowii herd of Mr John Nicolson were sold bv the Farmers’ Co-op. at the Show Grounds to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers, and every--thmg gave promise of a successful sale. Mr Nicolson’s herd Ims increased beyond the carrying capacity of his small property, and he has decided to dispose of the ivliole of his pedigree stock with the exception of three yearling heifers and heifer calves. When selecting his stock Mr Nicolson has taken care to purchase animals from only proven strains of the desired type. ..Details of the purchases are as folloivs: Hero’s Lady Viola (Holly Bank Hero Lady Binnie). —Mr W. Bay View Lass (Peggie’s Campanile —Passion Flower’s Lass). —Passed in at lOOgns (Mr J. R. Corrigan’s bid). Her bull calf, Mr R. Bremer, Waverley, 25gns.
Holly Bank Lass (Oakland’s Squire Mahouc- —Bav View Lass). —Passed in at 35gns. ‘Her bull calf, Mr R. G. Scown, logns.
Tower View Countess (Orange Pekoe I—Prince’s 1 —Prince’s Magnet).—Passed in at 721gns.
Maleta (Jessie’s Register of Melrose —Bilberry’s Maid). —Passed in at 100 gns.
Holly Bank Golden Boy (Riverswood Gold Boy —Bay View Lass). —Passed in at 40gns.
