By the will of the late Duncan McKenzie, who died recently at Ashburton, £SOO is bequeathed to the Ashburton Methodist new church building fund. After making certain private bequests and subject to a life interest for the, widow, the residue of the estate will be divided equally between the Ashburton Methodist Church (for Sunday School purposes), the Methodist Home Missionary Society, the Methodist Foreign Missionary Society, and the Papanui Methodist orphanage. The amount of the residue to he divided amongst the four institutions mentioned will probably exceed £4OOO.
