Received Nov. 18, 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 17. -'The .strangest strike known beciirrcd in the Transport Workers’ Union w-heii ninety organisers .and officials downed pens as a protest against the executive’s refusal to reinstate Mr. Gosling, ex-Miiii-ster of Transport. The executive, pleading economy, decided to abolish the post. The strikers allege that personal motives, inspired the decision for a recall. There has been. ill-feeling between Messrs.* Gosling and, Bevin since the unofficial dock strike in 1923. The executive had -a secret conference , with tire strikers lasting all day. Mr. Gosling is in bed owing to a breakdown due to his election exertions.—Svdney Bun Gables.
