To-night Mrs Devanny, of Wellington. will deliver an open-air address at the corner of Regent and High Streets. Mrs Devanny has the distinction of being the first woman exponent cf the Labour Party’s policy to visit Hawera. The summer race meeting of the Woodville Jockey Club will be held on December 10 and 11, and it will be seen by advertisement appearing in this issue that nominations for all events close on Thursday next. 20th inst.
