PARENTS’ CLAIM

{by telegraph—press association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 13. . The Arbitration CoiM to-day heard .the claim for £soocompensation, plus expenses, by Walter Goulds, labourer, Rakaia, from the Crown, on account of the death, of his son Alfred Goulds, a cleaner, who was crushed by a railway engine at Timaru in June. It was admitted that the parents had received •'£2oo as insurance on their dead son’s life, and the Crown contended that the claim was exaggerated. The case is proceeding.
