NORTH AUCKLAND AFFRAY. (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WHANGAREI, Nov. 'l2. A report from Maromaltu, miles north of Whangarei, states that two Africanders living. with Maoris were engaged in fierce combat early this morning, an axe and a stick being used as weapons. One of the belligerents was so severely wounded that he is expected to- succumb to the injuries inflicted by the axe. A detective and- a constable have gone from Whangarei to investigate.
