TROUBLOUS TIMES.
1 AHEAD FOR ITALY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Nov. 12, 2.20 p.m. ROME, Nov. 11. The Italian Parliament opens tor-day, with indications of troublous times ahead. The Opposition lias published a strong jjnanifesto to the nation reiterating fneir decision not to participate in Parliamentary wc.rlc so long as the situation is as it was in June, when they withdrew from Parliament after the Matteotti murder, continues.’ The manifesto! claims that the Opposition represents the majority of the nation, but their power is illegally exercised by a minority. Signor Mussolini, in a speech at a meeting of deputies of the majority parties, said the Government intended to advance rapidly on the road towards normality, fie denounced the attitude of fihe Opposition in absenting themselves from Parliament as unconstitutional, and emphasised that the Fascist Party had changed its constitution. Illegalities and acts of violence had diminished. He paid a tribute hot the ■Government’s foreign and domestic policy, and stressed the importance of tft.e! colonial development scheme.
