It is believed from the nature of the wounds inflicted that she was killed by repeated blows with a small axe. TO RECAPTURE MECCA. , LONDON, Nov. 10. A Cairo message states that King Ali has initiated an effort to recapture Mecca. He sent a body of troops from Jeddali, who aip surrounding Mecca.
DEATH SENTENCE. SYDNEY, Nov. 11. The High Court of Australia refused William Simpson leave to appeal against his sentence of death in connection with the Appin murder. WEMBLEY IN 1925. LONDON, Nov. 11. The newspapers favourably stress the pronouncement by the Premier (Mr Stanley Baldwin) regarding Wembley, which is interpreted to mean the exhibition will continue in 1925.
