CRISIS IN ITALY.
PREMIER’S POWER WANING
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT
LONDON, Nov. 10. - The Rome correspondent of the Daily Express reports that strict censorship has been imposed on all telegrams abroad, showing that Italy is again in a state of crisis. A conflict has broken/ out between Signor Mussolini (the Premier) and the Association of ex-Service Men, embracing 800,000 members. The ex-service men hitherto have worked with the Fascisti, but recently a meeting between the two parties was the signal for pitched battles in the streets. Already there have been serious collisions in Rome, Naples, Milan, Turin, and Genoa, including revolver firing in a number of cases, the Fascisti beating their enemies in the streets. These episodes, combined with the determination of the Opposition not to attend sittings of the Chamber, are weakening the influence of, Signor Mussolini and the Fascimo.
