Received Nov. 10, 1.30 p.m. ■ . new YORK, Nov. 9. Roderick McLennan, the famous Pinkerton detective, of Chicago, who has resigned, went to Calgary on a farm. He was alone repairing a roof, and fell off and broke both legs. He fired a .revolver to attract attention. His ammunition failed and he set fire to the house and then the granary, but nobody came. Finally a pedlar arrived and transported him‘to hospital. Botli legs were frozen, and he died later.
