The rnin which has fallen will certainly give the pastures and crops further stimulation (says the Ashburton Guardian). The growing crops will improve in length, and farmers can look forward to handling some useful stuff, at harvest time. The grass paddocks present a most attractive appearance, indicating a plentiful supply of feed for sheep and lambs. Rarely has there been such a splendid show 'in the vegetable gardens. Orchards are doing well, and the prospects are good, as there has been an almost entire absence of frost.
