A colonist of over 60 years' standing, Mrs. Robert Armiger, died at Auckland on Saturday, at the age of 82. She arrived in Auckland in 1862, in the ship William Miles, and three years later \va s married, her husband having been a passenger by the same vessel. She and her husband were at Thames at the time of the gold rush, and later lived at Helensville, Whangaroa, and Te Kopuru, where Mr. Armiger was manager for the Kauri Timber Company. In more rerent years Mr and Mrs. Armiger had lived at Devonport and Ponsonby. One hundred and forty erans of herrings, or alvout 150,000 fish, were landed at Grimbsy one day recently bv the Lowestoftdrifter James a nd Walter.
