ARMISTICE DAY.
OBSERVANCE IN DOMINION. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. . . WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. Armistice Day, which falls on Tuesday next (November 11) is to be observed as in past years by two minutes silence. A cablegram received by His Excelleney the Governor-General from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of which has been sent by the Government to all local bodies, states that His Majesty has approved the following arrangements for the observance in this country of Armistice Day: (1) A short service will be held at the cenotaph on the lines adopted in previous years, including the hymn, “O God Our Help in Ages Past.” His? Majesty the King will be present and will lay a wreath. (2) A two minutes’ silence will be observed at 11 a.m. Local authorities in this country will be asked to arrange for the suspension of all vehicular traffic for two minutes from 11 a.m., but rail and water tr an snort will not 1-n c-,q_ pended. LONDON. Nov. 6. The King, the Prince cf Wales and the Duke of York will place wreaths on the cenotaph on Armistice Dav.
