Mr S. Merwood, of the engineers .staff, Post and Telegraph .Department. Hawera,. who was recently promoted to the position of line foreman at Otaki. left Hawera for his new station yesterday morning. Before leaving he was met by his fellow-officers and presented with a set of military hair brushes and a silver pencil holder.
