Acting upon a cable from the New Zealand police, Sydney detectives arrested Mervyn John Cudby upon his arrival by the Manuka. He was subsequently charged with having fifteen detonators in his possession with intent to steal. The magistrate, in sentencing Cudby to six months’ imprisonment, declared that he was an undesirable .visitor to New South Wales. / Cudby said he was released from prison three months ago and secured work, but the police told his employers what he was, and consequently he could not keep a. job.
