The eighth day of the flour-milling ease opened with McDonald, managing director of Distributors, Ltd-, under cross-examination. The witness stated that he still held the opinion that the trouble in Otago and Southland had never been serious. Distributors, Ltd., had 150 customers in Southland, and after curry-combing the district the Crown could only produce 12. Re-examined, witness stated that if Distributors, Ltd., did not exist there would be the same distributing difficulties, .with an exceptional demand.
