A 15-round contest for the heavyweight championship between Heeney and Franz Heiidjidge, the Belgian cruiser-weight champion, was stopped in the sixth round. The referee declared no contest owing to continual holding. It was the poorest fight seen for a long time, and one in which the fewest .clean blows landed. The New Zealander, who was much heavier, repeatedly' used the rabbit punch.
