WASHED OVERBOARD.
SEAMENS’ TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI Nov. 1. \ Advice has been received by the agents here 'that the Port Caroline encountered a heavy gale last night on her way to Wanganui and a seaman was washed overboard. A boat put out to rescue, but was unsuccessful and, after a terrible buffeting, took three hours to get hack to the ship. The Port Caroline is due here this afternoon.
