EG MONT A. AND P. SHOW. Intending exhibitors at the Egmont A and P. Show, which will be held on 1 a & o l ?^ v^? unds l Hawera-, on the 19th and -oth November, are reminded that entries for all classes close on Saturday next. November 8, at 9 p.m. The schedule cf classes offers a wide seleetion to choose from, and many valuable trophies are offered in addition to the prize-money. New classes include a class to-.r novice harness ponies a complete section epen to grade and crossbred cattle only, and classes fot sheep in wool and in natural condition. In addition to the association’s prize a silver cup, value 10 guineas, has been donated by Mr J. McCav fm the champion hack. Points prizes,'botl cash and trophies, are awarded to al. sections. Since the schedule has beei printed a donation of £5 has been re eeived from Mrs Evan Williams, Hawera, tor the milking shorthorn classes Schedules may be obtained, free ot charge, from the secretary, P.O Box 148, Hawera. THE ROYAL SHOW. The first Royal . show under the auspices of the N.Z. Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, which * s r, h ? k l ln con .Pihction with the dbth Grand Metropolitan Show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P Association, will take place at Palmerston North on November 4, 5 and o. Irom the number of entries of stud stock received from the leading oieeders in all parts ot the Dominion it is evident that it will be one of the nne,st exhibitions ever held. The gland total of exhibits reaches over 440 Q. That the show -will draw the big attendance that the first Royal is entitled to is daily becoming more evident. All the public accommodation m Palmerston North w'as booked fully a fortnight ago. Appeals have had to be made to- private persons to take in visitors. The Railway Department has arranged for special excursion lares from a.li parts to Palmerston North, and quite a number of overseas visitors have already notified their intention of being present. The opening day is Tuesday next.
