ARMED MEN.
RGB A TOURIST. Frederick Walter Anderson, or Wallflower-st, Flemington, while holi-day-making at Yerrinbool/ near Mittagong, was robbed by two armed men. Anderson says he wag strolling along the main road towards Mittagong. Meeting two men he conversed with them, and they went together to the Bargo River. Unsuspectingly, Anderson walked ahead. He reached the river, and boiled the billy, when a revolver shot was fired behind him, the bullet striking the earth. A revolver was pressed at his back, and one of the men commanded him to put his hands up. A money bag containing nearly £2 was handed over, and the robbers thoroughly searched Anderson’s pockets, and he was then told to remain half an hour at the spot, or else lie would be shot. The thieves then hurried away. Anderson ran to Yerrinbool, and telephoned the Mittagong police. Sergeant Loomes and Constable White motored out immediately. When the police were about four miles out they saw' two men coming from a house at Bartholomew’s poultry farm, and arrested them.
