ELECTION MILLIONS.
+ AMERICAN EXPENDITURE. CHICAGO, Oct. IS. Investigation shews'that the Republican Presidential election budget calls for 3,000,000 dollars (£600,000). Only 1,714,000 (£342,800) lias been raised. The figures show that J P. Morgan and Co. have contributed 10,000 dollars (£2000), a cheAving-gum firm 20,C00 dollars (£5000), and Mr. C. G. Dawes, financier, 10,000 dollars. Expenditure by the third party amounts to 190,000 dollars (£38,000). Complete records for the Democratic party are not presented, but 32,000 dollars (£6400) has been spent in the Western States.
