“SPIRIT” MESSAGES.

CONAN DOYLE’S TALE, LONDON, Oct. 19. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, referrino- to the spirit messages stated to have Seen received from the late Lord / Northcliffy by Miss Louise Owen, his former secretary, ,says: _“I do- not see how any reasonable being could possibly doubt that Lord Northeliffe himself sent the messages. When I was in New York in 1923 I had a long communication purporting to come from Lord Northeliffe through a medium. I gave a resume of these messages on pages 24 and 25 of ‘Our Second American Adventure.’ ‘‘Lord Northeliffe told me several things which nobody but himself knew. I have since ascertained them to: be true.’’ Mr. Hannen Swaffer, in The People, gives details of a seance with Mr. Dennis Bradley, on October 12, in which messages alleged to be from Lord Northeliffe were repeated through Mrs. Leonard, a medium. Notes were token, and will be submitted to the Psychic Research Society.
