STATE HOUSING FAILURE. (Received Nov. 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 1. As the result of investigations by the Auditor-General’s Department the State housing scheme up to the present shows a loss of £45,306. It is the desire of the State Government to abolish the same as quickly as possible. A Bill with this'object in view is now before Parliament. HO-PES SCATTERED. Received Nov. 1, 1.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 1. The secretary of the Mount Morgan Co. has received advice that the movement in the mine has practically ceased, being confined to the copper body.
