TELEGRAPH OPERATOR’S EXPERIENCE A business man from Wellington was in Christchurch recently, and called on an old friend of his in the Telegraph Office. He enquired after his pal’s family, and was told that they had had a pretty rough time of it during the inclement weather that had been so prevalent. Three of the children had been ill with colds and one of them had developed bronchitis.
