The death occurred at New Plymouth on Sunday of Mr C. H. West, of Fitzroy. The late Mr West came from King’s County, Nova Scotia, in the sailing vessel Oceola (Captain Matheson'i 48 years ago with his brother, the late Mr .M an son T. West. He took up farming at Xgaere and later at Awakino, coming to New Plymouth to reside eight years ago.. He leaves a widow, one son and five daughters to mourn their loss.—News.
