At the annual conference of women justices of the. peace of New South Wales, among other resolutions passed was one urging the women of Victoria and New Zealand to carry on a fight 1 to bring their Governments into line with others in Australasia in. the appointment of women magistrates, and placing on record their regret that there still remained Governments so undemocratic as to exclude women from the Commission of the Peace. Mrs Hadfield is the New Zealand delegate.
