Although it is too early to say definitely it would appear from the figures to hand so far that public opinion in Britain has veered round to the Conservatives, and thjit there is every prospect of Labour suffering defeat. The results, so- far, indicate that the Conservatives are leading by_a substantial majority. Miss- Bondfield, Secretary for Labour in the Labour Ministry, has been defeated at Northampton.
