VALEDICTORY.

PRESENTATION TO MR. H. C HILLSDON-HUTTON

At the conclusion of the sacred cantata rendered last night by the Methodist Church choir, the choir entertained Mr. H. C. Hillsdon-Hutton at supper in the classroom. The Rev. W. Oxbrow, in making a presentation of a travelling case by the choir, spoke in glowing terms of the work done for the church during the time Mr. Hutton has been organist and conductor. On behalf of the trustees Mr. E. Dixon, the secretary of the trust, endorsed the remarks of the chairman and presented Mr. Hutton with a cheque and letter conveying their appreciation of his readiness in facing “the second mile” in all his church work. After the presentation the choir sang “For he’s a jolly good fellow.” Mr. Hutton will have one more Sunday before leaving for Auckland.
