SUPREME COURT.
PRISONERS SENTENCED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARU, Oct. 29. At the Supreme Court, George David Jury, for an attempt to commit an unnatural offence, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. Hugh Thomas Gorman McAuley, who pleaded guilty to having committed an unnatural offence, wag sentenced to five years’ reformative treatment. A HOPELESS CASE. WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. At the Supreme Court, Henry Harris Baber Tunnicliffe, charged with theft and failing to account for moneys, was iound guilty. Sentence was deferred. Sir Robert Stout said prisoner seemed to be a hopeless case. He wag only recently out of prison. e The trial of George Edward Bellinger on a lengthy list of charges of breaking and entering, is proceeding.
