A LUTHERAN PROHIBITION. NEW YORK, Oct. 10. Complaints have been received at the Lutheran Church headquarters that numerous church organists are (Succumbing to the influence of jazz and are lowering the tone of their renditions with violent syncopation. This has resulted in. an edict prohibiting any but purely sacred music being played on Lutheran Church organs. Church officials said the organists were not entirely responsible as the modern pipe organs were fitted with fancy devices in keeping with the jazz era. The Lutherans have also banned the song, '“Yes, We Have No Bananas.”
