(From Our Own Correspondent). THE NEW HALL. Oil Friday evening, next a grand plain and fancy dress masquerade bail is to be held in the now completed nail, and from all accounts there, will be a bumper crowd present at the function. A strong ladies’ committee is busily making arrangements for the supper, which will be the first m the new supper-room, and this committee is determined that all the famous Kiverlea suppers of the past are to be completely put in the shade by that winch, will grace the board on Friday so that intending visitors may expect to see something super-special. The building is lighted throughout by electricity, and a light has also been installed S entrance, outside which •p, 1 1 " bfc ,. the approach to the hall. Ihe building, which has been well painted, now presents an imposing appearance, and i s a decided improve--ment all round. The contract was earned out bv Mr \. C. Flack, of Hawera, and he is to be complimented on the wav he has carried out his job. When m a year or two the final touches are put to the mside of th e building, the Riverlea Hall will be equal to any country hall in the province, and perhaps in the Dominion, and a decided credit to district.
