Guscott (Mangorei road, New Plymouth), for riding a motor cycle across the intersection of High and Bridge streets, Eltham, at a speed greater than eight miles an hour, was convicted and 'fined £2, court costs 7b. “This is the first case taken in this court on this Information,” said Mr Sheat, referring to the charge against Donald McWhirter of riding a motor cycle along High street without a silent muffler, who was fined 20s and court costs 10s 7d. Roy Coplestone, for permitting three pigs to gander on the Mangawhero road, was convicted and fined 10s, court costs £1 3s 6d. Mary Ann Gadsby (Stratford), who was charged with driving over an intersection of the Manaia and Eltham roads at a speed dangerous to the public, was fined £1 10s, with costs £1 19s. Judgment with costs was given for plaintiff in the claim for £1 12s made by Ira J. Bridger against G. W.
